Guitar Teaching Tip

To help your students reach their guitar playing goals faster, measure their progress. There are many benefits to measuring student progress. First, you can better make adjustments in your lesson plans as needed. Second, students usually get a great morale boost when they see clear proof of the steady progress they are making.

You can tell your students to measure their progress, but many won’t actually do it. If you have students who won’t do this themselves, measure and document their progress for them in their lesson. Students WILL progress faster, feel better about themselves  and typically will continue taking lesson from you for a much longer period of time.
