How To Play Better Guitar Solos Using Guitar Phrasing

When guitar players are unhappy with the sound of their guitar solos, they usually try the simplest and most obvious solution in attempt to solve the problem: they try to play “more” notes. Unfortunately, this nervous habit of playing more and more notes in a guitar solo will not make your lead guitar playing sound good UNTIL and unless you learn how to play each note of your solo with good guitar phrasing. The term ‘guitar phrasing’ refers to HOW you express each note with maximum emotion for the phrase being played. When you learn how to do this with only a few notes in your guitar solo, you will find that it is much easier to play better guitar solos even when you add more notes.

Over time as you practice using good guitar phrasing, you will notice very significant progress in your ability to consistently play better guitar solos. To see how to use this in your guitar playing, watch this guitar solo lesson video where I demonstrate this to one of my students.
