When you watch great
guitar players perform does it seem like they are “naturals” who can play
amazing guitar licks with little effort? Many guitar players become discouraged
by seeing other great guitarists because they are able to play guitar up to
their level in the moment. Fact is, no one started off as a great guitar
player. Any “natural” ability that one could have on guitar is very small in
comparison to the hard work and effort required to truly become a good
guitarist.
That said, if you learn how to play guitar
fluently there are various things you must be able to do. One of the most
important abilities you must develop is the ability to improvise guitar at a
very high level. There is a lot that goes into building great guitar
improvisation skills, but once you can improvise well you will be able to play
guitar effortlessly and make great music on the spot. Find out more about how
you can make guitar playing feel like second nature by going to this page on fluent guitar playing.
