Teach Your Guitar Students How To Apply Ideas Using Effective Guitar Instruction Methods

One common guitar instruction question that I hear is “When should I start teaching my guitar students how to apply what they know on guitar?” The initial mistake here is that the guitar teacher is separating the idea of application from learning new ideas. Although this idea is a commonly accepted guitar instruction method, it is overall very ineffective.

If your guitar students are not actively learning how to creatively apply new ideas as they master them, it will be frustrating as they become strong in one area while in another very weak. The best way to have your students apply information is to teach them using an alternative non-linear approach.
