Don’t
make the mistake of allowing other guitar players to set the standard for your
own guitar playing goals. This happens very commonly where a guitarist who has
guitar playing friends thinks “I wish I could play as good as him/her” Then
when they practice guitar and think “I can’t play as good as he/she can”, they
feel frustrated. While observing others can provide you with some motivation to
improve, the emphasis should always be on fulfilling YOUR specific goals for
guitar. Don’t worry about what other guitar players can or can’t do.
By
keeping your mind on your own specific goals, you will be able to reach them
much faster. Additionally, you will feel good that you decided to learn what
you really wanted on guitar and made the effort to do it. Once you have this
mindset in place, you are ready to practice guitar effectively and make
progress at a faster rate. Learn about making better progress in your guitar
